Service Technician (Diesel) Agricultural

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable service technician.

About the position:

Provide quality customer service to existing customers to maintain a good working relationship and also provide exceptional service to new customers.
Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify the cause of errors, problems, or defects.
Reassemble machines and equipment following repair; test operation and make adjustments as necessary.
Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm and construction machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, balers, mower conditioners, skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, and any other equipment.
Dismantle defective machines for repair using hand tools.
Test and replace electrical components and wiring using test meters, soldering equipment and hand tools.
Clean and lubricate parts.
Tune or overhaul engines.
Travel to customer site for repair of machinery if required. Examine and listen to equipment and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
Record details of repairs made on Repair Orders.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
Conduct thorough self-checking of work and documentation.
Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
Perform any other duty as reasonably required by the Directors.
Sharing of knowledge with other employees within the Company where applicable.
Follow, utilise, and promote Company policies and procedures, core values and Work Health and Safety requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum two years’ recent trade experience
Experience within the heavy automotive / plant industry
Demonstrated diagnostic skills.
Strong work ethic
Sound communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well both within a team environment and autonomously.
Committed towards undertaking duties efficiently.
Professional personal presentation.
Australian Working rights
Current Victorian Driver’s license – HR advantageous

Yard Hand/Labourer

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable mechanically minded, hands-on Yard Hand/Labourer that takes pride in their work.

Duties & Responsibilities

Clean machinery after servicing
Assist service department as required
Pick up and drop off Machinery when needed
Minor PDI work (pre-delivery inspections)
Quality checks and testing of equipment
Use of hand tools and power tools
General warehousing duties

Ability to interact with customers and part suppliers
Ensure work areas are adequately maintained for a clean & safe workplace

Comply with WHS obligations
Any other duties as required

Skills & Experience

Current drivers’ licence is essential with manual experience – HR an advantage

Forklift licence would be an advantage
Be mechanically minded
Have experience with hand tools and power tools
Be switched on and willing to learn
Be reliable and a team player
Previous dealership experience would be viewed favourably, but is not essential

Ability to work in a team
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritise tasks daily
Attention to detail
